Creator of Facebook iPhone app leaves Facebook
Joe Hewitt, creator of Facebook iPhone app has decided to leave Facebook after work for four years.
According to pcmag.com, Hewitt was quoted as having wrote, “Today was my last day at Facebook," on his blog.
He also further wrote, “"Normally when I leave a job I go out cursing the management and wishing I had left much sooner. In the case of Facebook, I sent heartfelt emails to all of my managers thanking them for the privilege of letting me work there, and I genuinely meant it. Facebook was the longest I ever worked at one company, and the best employer I've ever had”.

Hewitt is leaving Facebook to pursue his own HTML 5-related projects and he was no doubt a huge asset to Facebook.
Wikipedia describes the developer as best known for applications such as Firefox web browser and related software development tools like Firebug and DOM Inspector.
Hewitt admits to having had a good time at Facebook adding that when he leaves a job, he normally goes out cursing the management wishing he had left sooner.
“In the case of Facebook, I sent heartfelt emails to all of my managers thanking them for the privilege of letting me work there, and I genuinely meant it,” he writes.
He further writes that he has left Facebook so to become an independent programmer.
Hewitt whilst at Facebook helped develop the company’s iPhone app. In 2009 despite Apple’s app store policy which states that all apps must be reviewed and approved.
The developer in his blog writes that some of his projects never made it to the lab and that perhaps some left in the lab will yet come to fruition.
“My mind is still full of ideas for tools of all kinds: tools for writers, designers, programmers, whatever,” he continues.
He added that he wants to help whenever people are using their computers to turn their ideas into reality.
