Erykah Badu’s striptease act at video shoot nets probation and fine

Badu fined $500 and sentenced to 6 months probation

Erykah Badu has been fined $500 and sentenced to 6 months probation on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010 according to a report by sun-sentinel.com. She was charged with disorderly conduct in March for her performance of  a walking striptease at the Dealey Plaza in Dallas.

A native of Dallas, Texas,  Erykah Badu stripped down for her “Window Seat” music video that ended with her falling to the ground simulating her being shot and in the nude. A resident who witnessed the display, took exception and filed a report  with the Dallas police department. It is reported that the striptease act was performed in full view of people passing by including children.

The video was shot at the same location where President  J. F. Kennedy was shot to death in 1963. According to a Dallas city spokesperson, Frank Librio, Badu has already paid the $500. fine on Friday. There has been no comment from the Erykah Badu camp on the sentence.
